Luke 18:1-8 Jesus gave us this wonderful parable here below;
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought to always pray and not lose heart. He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’ ” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
What amazing Story Jesus illustrated this truth that we are suppose to be persistence in our approach with God though God is not like that cruel judge who don’t care people nor fear God but we have to practice attitude of continuation in calling, knocking and seeking for God until we access what we are thirst or hungry for, because as I know in the journey of life only God can satisfy our soul other things they may look like helping for awhile but cant complete you.
Nothing is powerful as persistence in any subject matter so is the same in our walk with God we have to trust God for his help to be discipline and persisting day in day out until we see the promises of God birth expressly in our life.
The scripture says the widow went on and on (persistently), crying to him day and night keeping asking for her right until it become like bothering him, this year God is inviting you though is not like that judge yet is expecting your persistence to be intentional and intact with expectation God the father to show up and keep his promise fulfilled in your life.
Persistence is not lack of faith yet is keeping focus to what you’re asking and taking no as an answer, instead continue to press on and on until the desired answer comes on your way.
Just imagine even judge said what happens when people ask God in this way will He not grant his people what they ask, I don’t know for how long you have persisted for such need from God but make practice again because is able to do more exceedingly above what we can think or imagine for, but we must be on duty calling, asking, knocking and persisting on and on without be disappointed never give up.
The LORD is our strength in the name of Jesus Christ!
Remain ever blessed.
